Our New Home

Here we are! Our new home in Michigan. We left Westmont with a great send-off from so many wonderful friends and arrived to find an army of people from our new ward waiting to help us unload the truck.  They even put our beds together for us and brought us a dinner and brownies for later before they left! Our realtor, Michele, arrived with pizza, drinks, paper plates, cups, silverware, bread, jam, and peanut butter for us.  She's the BEST!!

We finally got the yard tamed to a presentable state and the trees weeds pulled out.  We have a lot more we want to do outside but, for now, this is our place! Take a look - 

June Camping at Warren Dunes

There was one special family we didn't get to say goodbye to before we left Chicago because they were out of town when we moved, so we decided to meet up halfway for a campout at the Warren Dunes along Lake Michigan.  We had lots of fun sitting around the campfire playing Charades and letting the kids tell very "spooky" stories to us.  It was so much fun!  The next day we packed up and headed to the lake.  The weather was perfect - for a while.  We were there for a while but then a huge thunderstorm came and we had to leave, but we had so much fun playing and laughing together while we could.
